GRIT-SERVE  Training

Thank you for your interest in the GRIT-SERVE Resiliency Course and welcome into the training! We have recorded this program to make it more accessible to everyone and to allow a self-paced option. We want to take a moment to really thank you for your willingness to take on this important role for your community and for taking the time to learn this material in order to spread support, education, and resilience in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. We hope to be a support for you and your community in the weeks ahead!

The training includes 5 modules. We have broken the videos down to one module for each link.

The training will provide role-plays of the GRIT steps, with time after for you to practice the skills. We ask that you try to practice the Steps with someone in your area, over the phone, or through a video-link tool. If all else fails, practice the conversations out loud to yourself! It will not be enough time to hold an entire conversation, but will give you chance to say the phrases and questions out loud to see how they sound and feel. Practicing the Steps works on our muscle memory and helps the conversations feel more natural!

We encourage you to print out the workbook, or keep it nearby as you work through the training. The workbook includes helpful self-reflections, as well as resources that we do not go over in the training. Click here to view and download the workbook!

There is a brief quiz after the training. Passing the quiz and attesting to completing the five modules will result in a Certificate of Completion! Click here to take the quiz!

We also ask you to complete a quick feedback survey after the training. This will help us keep the training as helpful as possible, as well as support the development of future trainings. Click here to give your feedback!

We hope you find this training helpful and useful, and we look forward to hearing your experiences! We will be sending out a survey every Friday. This helps us assess the effect of GRIT on the community and continuously improve our training and support our Coaches!

We do ask that if you know of anyone who may be interested in GRIT Resiliency Course training, or could benefit from learning the skills, you refer them to sign up for the training themselves, instead of sharing these links. The sign up can be found by clicking here. This allows us to track how many people are being trained and to gather simple statistics to support our training and future programs!
